This coming Friday Nite Movie: Skid Row Marathon and filmmaker Q&A!

Some of you may already know about this extraordinary movie that we showed at the Napa Valley Film Festival last November – Skid Row Marathon– and that it swept all the most prestigious awards (Audience and Juried). if you don’t know about it, here’s your chance to see it!

We are soo excited to bring Skid Row Marathon back for an encore screening with the filmmakers *and* inspiring subjects of the movie. This Friday, at 5:30pm at the CIA at Copia in downtown Napa. If you haven’t seen it, this movie will stay with you forever. If you have seen it, come back, bring friends and continue the very important conversation that this film provokes.
Here’s the brief overview: The film follows a criminal court judge who starts a running club on LA’s notorious Skid Row and begins training a motley group of recovering addicts and criminals to run marathons. The charismatic film subject, Judge Craig Mitchell, believes that if he can better the physical and psychological health of these individuals, then perhaps some of those successes and advancements might transfer over to their social and professional lives as well. The story is an inspiring and important one of enduring hope, friendship and dignity. Judge Mitchell, the filmmakers, and one of the former inmates, and star runner in the film, will all be in Napa on Friday night to meet the audience and talk about the movie!
